Leadwood ( Combretum Imberbe ) grows at a rate of 1mm per year that is 1 inch every 25 years. The California Tectonic shift is calculated at 2 inches per year! Once a tree has died it can remain standing for centuries while the elements slowly carve away creating the weathered look over eons. Trees are scattered and scarce, giving me the opportunity to go scouting the bush with my two beautiful girls. Turning my passion into quality time adventures.

Leadwood is a highly protected tree under South African law and each tree requires a permit from the Department of Forestry even though its been dead for hundreds of years.

Bring an African landscape into your living area with natural shaped veranda posts, a wooden basin or live edge table.
